IQLABS LTD, the New Zealand company behind TheDaintyFur, respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect, why we need it, and how it's used when you use TheDaintyFur.

We've kept it as simple as we can.

What we collect

When you use Dainty, we may collect:

• Your email address and account information
• Prompts you enter when creating a video
• Pet photos or other images you choose to upload
• Videos you generate and save to My Clips
• Basic information about how you use Dainty, such as generations and purchases
• Technical information needed to keep the service working and secure

If you make a purchase, your payment is processed securely by Stripe. We don't store your full credit or debit card details.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your Dainty account
• Generate the videos you request
• Save your creations to My Clips
• Process purchases and manage your clips
• Provide support when something goes wrong
• Protect Dainty from misuse, fraud and security threats
• Maintain and improve the service

We don't sell your personal information.

Your photos and prompts

Photos and prompts you submit are used to provide the Dainty service and create the videos you've requested.

To generate a video, your prompt and, when applicable, your uploaded photo need to be processed by the AI provider used to create the video.

Your uploaded content remains yours.

AI video providers

Dainty uses third-party AI technology to generate videos.

When you create a clip, the information required for that generation may be securely sent to the AI provider processing your request.

Different AI providers may be used as Dainty develops or as we improve the service.

Other services we use

We rely on a small number of trusted services to operate Dainty, including:

• Supabase for accounts, authentication, databases and storage.
• Stripe for securely processing payments.
• AI video providers for generating your Dainty clips.
• Fathom Analytics for privacy-friendly website usage statistics (no advertising cookies).

These providers may process information on our behalf where necessary to provide their services.

My Clips

If you save a creation to My Clips, we store information needed to make that creation available through your account.

You can download your creations whenever you like.

My Clips isn't intended to be permanent backup storage, so we recommend keeping your own copy of anything that's especially important to you.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Dainty, maintain your account, meet our legal obligations and keep the service secure.

Some information may need to be retained after an account is closed where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or security purposes.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect the information entrusted to us.

Like any online service, however, no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can choose not to upload a pet photo and create from a text description instead where that option is available.

You can also contact us if you'd like to ask about your personal information, request a correction, or request deletion of your account and associated personal information.

Some information may need to be retained where required by law.

Children

Dainty isn't intended for children to create accounts or make purchases without the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy as Dainty grows, our technology changes, or we add new features.
